Elder Nichelle Crump

Nichelle Crump-Murray has enthusiastically practiced fitness for over 10 with the former Gold’s Gym of Burlington; now The Edge Health & Fitness. She was always active as a youth taking part in softball, soccer, cheerleading, track and field and dance. In 2010, she received her license as a Zumba Instructor where she presently teaches throughout Alamance County and surrounding cities offering classes, fundraisers and her Zumba-Fit expertise! Shortly thereafter, Nichelle received her Personal Training Certification with American Sports and Fitness Association. Her experience varies in weight training, endurance training, core, stability & balance, senior specialties, bootcamp, TRX, strength training, meal plans, and The US Navy Physical Fitness Test/Assessment. For the past 3 years, she has actively shared her love and knowledge with others offering personal training. Teaching proper strategies, form, techniques and collaborative routines that assist with sports and fitness is her passion. Because of her attentiveness and abilities to serve, her clients have numerous success stories of decreased high blood pressure, decreases in cholesterol levels, weight management, muscle gain, diabetic levels decrease or no longer diagnosed, loss of inches, loss of body fat, lost weight, decreases in medicine intake and the joy of “just feeling better and healthier”.

This year alone, she became certified in the Healthways Silver Sneakers Classic Program for active older adults to participate in fitness programs geared and directed specifically for seniors. Nichelle also began her business entitled “Vessels of Honor” that offers programs to those whom, because of finances, can’t afford gym memberships or personal trainers. It is her desire to provide affordable services to individuals that wish to make a healthy lifestyle change. Nichelle understands that there is a demographic of adults, children, seniors, and communities that have not.

Being a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 3, she realizes the importance of staying fit and active. “Because I am; they are!” is a statement she proclaims…..”What better way to leave a legacy than to represent what you profess.
