Sonya McKinzie is a resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia where she resides with her beautiful 6-year
old daughter. Sonya is a Christian, Mother, Survivor/ThriveHer of Domestic Violence, Humanitarian,
Mentor, Aspiring Speaker, and the Founder and Executive Director of Women of Virtue Transitional
Foundation Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and charitable organization.
She is a member of Christian Women in Media and Georgia Coalition against Domestic Violence.
Sonya’s passion for helping victims of domestic violence is fueled by her relationship with God and
the direct impact that domestic violence has had on her life. Sonya uses her love for God, her
daughter, and life experiences to pour into those that she encounters. Her God-given purpose is to
educate, empower, and equip girls, victims and struggling survivors to move towards living healthy,
independent and violence-free lives!
Alongside 21 God-fearing women, Sonya co-authored the Anthology Book Soul Source (which is her
third book) under their amazing four times best-selling author, Leader and Visionary, Cheryl Polote-
Williamson in July 2017. After releasing her second best-seller bound book ThriveHer: Women that
walk confidently and spiritually from Surviving to Thriving this year, she began writing her fifth book
“Embracing God’s Purpose For Your Life: Inspiring & Guiding Messages: which is to be released in
